Mashonaland Central governor Martin Dinha, who escaped an assassination attempt 2 weeks ago, has withdrawn from Zanu-PF's primary elections saying he cannot be part of "flawed, scandalous, hostile and manipulated primary elections".
Dinha is the first high profile figure to withdraw from the party's primary elections.
In a letter to Mash Central chairperson Dickson Mafios, Dinha said his comrades have unleashed a reign of terror that has forced him to step aside, in order to focus on campaigning solely for President Mugabe.
