Legal experts have called on the new Zanu PF government to put in place measures to eradicate corruption to ensure the success of the indigenisation drive and other economic policies.
Harare lawyer, Dumisani Mthombeni said the stamping out of corruption will pave way for the successful implementation of the Zanu PF policies.
Mr Mthombeni said the new government must give priority to the eradication of corruption as Zanu PF's economic blue prints hinge on transparency and efficiency in policy implementation.
Another Harare lawyer, Tendai Toto urged the new government to live to people's expectations and improve service delivery, saying bickering from other political parties must not hold the country at ransom.
He said the issue of funding of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) and other relevant stakeholders to enable them to carry out their constitutional mandate as an independent entity must not be debatable.
The establishment of ZACC by the Zanu PF government years ago was aimed at curbing corruption in the country.
However, due to financial challenges faced by the organisation, the desired results have not yet been achieved in both the private and public sectors.
