MDC-T leader PM Morgan Tsvangirai yesterday said Zanu-PF, which claimed to have won the just-ended elections, was already facing a legitimacy crisis and was courting him in a bid to legitimise their victory.

Tsvangirai was addressing about 2 000 mourners at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare during the burial of an MDC-T activist, Rebecca Mafukeni, who died while in custody on Monday following her arrest two years ago over the alleged murder of Police Inspector Petros Mutedza.

Tsvangirai said the whole country had been shocked by the results of the harmonised polls which his party was disputing.

The opposition leader said he would not countenance giving Zanu-PF an audience until they did the "right thing" by going for a fresh poll" ... Another thing, after they stole the votes like that, what I know is they are stuck, they don't have a starting point," Tsvangirai told mourners at the burial of Rebecca Mafukeni, one of the 29 MDC-T activists accused of murdering a police inspector in 2011.
