The State of Palestine and the Palestine Liberation Organisation have congratulated Zanu PF and the people of Zimbabwe for holding a credible, free and fair poll.
The Palestine Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Hashem Dajani passed the congratulatory remarks to the Zanu PF National Chairman, Simon Khaya Moyo at the party's headquarters in Harare.
Ambassador Dajani praised Zimbabwe for holding smooth elections and said his country looks forward to the continued existence and expansion of cordial relations between the Middle East state and the Southern African nation.
"I have never seen such a free electoral process, and as SADC, the African Union and many other observers have said, I would like to congratulate Zimbabwe for conducting such an election. Palestine is looking forward to continued cooperation with Zimbabwe," he said
Khaya Moyo told the Palestine representative that after the conclusion of elections, the party will go into serious business to deliver on promises made during the campaign period.
Moyo said members of the National Assembly will be monitored by the presidium through a perfomance appraisal system where they will be requested to submit quarterly performance reviews.
"After this election, we are not relaxed and sitting on a laurels, our focus is now on service delivery," said Khaya Moyo.
Zanu PF won the 2013 harmonised elections resoundingly and will form the government that will run the country for the next five years.
