Zanu-PF expels Munyaradzi Kereke, by-election to be held

The Zanu-PF Politburo has expelled National Assembly member for Bikita West, Dr Munyaradzi Kereke with the Speaker of Parliament advised to make preparations for by-elections in the constituency.
Dr Kereke defied the Zanu-PF's directive to step aside for the party's preferred candidate Elias Musakwa and went on to win the seat using the party ticket.
The Politburo also discussed on the harmonisation of party policies and government policies so that they are in sync with the party's election manifesto.
The commissariat department also briefed the Politburo that the electronic membership is in full swing to ensure easy audit of party membership ahead of the National People's Conference to be held in Mashonaland West province later this year.
The party's highest decision making body outside the congress was also briefed that the construction of a state-of-the-art conference centre in Chinhoyi are at an advanced stage.
