A Zanu-PF delegation has left for China for an exchange programme with the Communist Party of China.
The delegation is lead by the party's Secretary for Information and Publicity, Rugare Gumbo.
In a statement, the party says the visit is intended primarily to exchange ideas on how to modernise the print and electronic media in so far as information dissemination is concerned.
It is expected that Gumbo will have the opportunity to meet with the Communist Party's Information Department with a view of discussing methods of countering western propaganda and improving the effectiveness of the respective departments.
Zanu PF and the Communist Party of China have a longstanding history of working together on matters of mutual interest.
The two parties have over the years embarked on exchange programmes meant to enhance cooperation between Zimbabwe and China.
In 2005, Zanu PF and the Communist Party of China signed an agreement on cooperation with a view to holding annual dialogues on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
