Zanu-PF bigwig hauled to court over T-Shirts debt

A local company has hauled Zanu-PF politburo member, and cabinet minister Webster Shamu to court over a $11 000 debt incurred for the supply of some T-shirts.
Kingspot Investments recently filed some summons in the High Court demanding payment of $11 210 from Shamu after he allegedly refused and neglected to pay the amount for the T-shirts supplied during the funeral of Gogo Mary Shamu, mother to the Zanu-PF political commissar.
Besides demanding settlement of the full debt, Kingspot Investments is also demanding payment of interest which accrued from the date the summons were issued against the Information and Technology Minister.
Gogo Mary Shamu died in February last year aged 90 while she was on her way to a see a doctor in Harare.
Her funeral and burial ceremony was widely reported and broadcast on state-run media.
