David Coltart hit back at Zanu-PF

Former Education minister David Coltart has hit back at Zanu-PF deputy director of information, Psychology Maziwisa who labelled him as a clueless and worst Education Minister Zimbabwe has ever had.
Maziwisa wrote on his facebook profile that " a 2% improvement from last year's 18 % O level pass rate just isn't good enough. Yet it has to be remembered that the reason why our standards fell so miserably last year was because a clueless MDC minister, who was possibly out to send a political message, was in charge of the education ministry.
"It's a fatal mistake that we simply cannot afford to see repeated again!".
Coltart has since responded.
"I see that Mr Psychology Maziwisa, a spokesman for Zanu-PF, has today described me as a "clueless Minister", as will be seen from his post on his Facebook wall which I share below.
"Having read the comments which followed I was deeply touched by the outpouring of support for the work done in the Education Ministry in the last 5 years, and am grateful for the very kind comments made by so many Zimbabweans.
"Of course what Mr Maziwisa doesn't mention is that when I took office exactly 5 years ago today on the 13th February 2009 there weren't any pass rates at all to comment on because Zimsec had not even marked the exams yet! He also fails to mention that when the results finally did come out (after I had rallied support from Unicef to pay the markers) the pass rate for 2008 was 14,4%.
