Birthday Message to Mugabe From Zanu-PF

BIRTHDAY MESSAGE TO HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT ROBERT GABRIEL MUGABE
1. ZANU PF South Africa District chairman and executive congratulates His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Head of State and Government, Commander –in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, Cde. Robert Gabriel Mugabe on his 90th birthday.
2. Of particular interest to ZANU PF SA and the diaspora membership is your astute, intelligent and charismatic leadership which has seen you fight two revolutions, both of which were meant to bring total emancipation of the people from the twin evils of capitalism and colonialism.
3. Together with the late Father Zimbabwe Cde. Joshua Nkomo, you fought a protracted liberation struggle with courage, vision, and focus. This unshakable courage and vision led to the signing of the Unity Accord between the two major liberation icons which has sustained the peace currently prevailing in the country. We thank you for the peace and unity of purpose which has been the bedrock of the resilience that Zimbabweans have shown over the years.
4. As Zimbabweans we are inspired by your principled leadership and objectives to bring 'justice for your people, sovereignty for your people, recognition of independence of your people and their rights over their resources.' This has been your hallmark of your leadership and confidence in spearheading the fulfillment of the people-centred policies and programmes as enunciated in the Party manifesto and the new economic blue-print, ZIMASSET. Your courage and unshakable visionary leadership has seen you going against all odds.
5. In celebrating your 90th birthday, ZANU PF SA seeks to emphatically pledge its faith and support in your revolutionary leadership and pro-people policies and programmes by contributing and participating in transforming the lives of marginalised people in Zimbabwe. We support you fully as you lead us in the implementation of ZIMASSET for the speedy recovery of our economy. We equally pledge our full support as you deal with the corruption that has been haemorrhaging the economy internally as the majority of our people wallow in poverty.
