Zanu-PF members to lose top of the range vehicles

Zanu PF losing national assembly candidates in Bulawayo risk having their Ford Everest vehicles handed them in the run up top last year's elections dispossessed as none of them has proposed a payment plan for the top of the range cars.
Zanu PF spent more than $10 million on the vehicles that were given to candidates vying for the national assembly but this was not enough for the Bulawayo aspirants who failed to garner a single seat.
Last year, party secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa wrote to all candidates ordering them to return the vehicles but later the party made a U turn allowing the candidadtes to hold on to the vehicles on condition that they submit payment plans to their respective provinces.
"They do not have money to pay for the vehicles. What makes their situation worse is that none of them won a seat.
Other candidates would use their sitting allowances at the national assembly to pay for the vehicles but here in Bulawayo the MDC-T maintained its tight grip."
Zanu PF Bulawayo provincial spokesperson Christopher Sibanda declined to comment on the matter.
