Zanu-PF youth 'defecates' at borehole to spite rival

A self-confessed Zanu-PF supporter allegedly defecated at a community borehole after a series of political disputes with his neighbour who is a councillor in the opposition MDC.

Zanu-PF youth Spencer Zongoro is alleged to have defecated at the borehole to fix his staunch MDC-supporting neighbour Valeria Neruwana.

Neruwana yesterday dragged Zongoro before the Harare Civil Court.

She told magistrate Gamuchirai Siwardi that Zongoro sells drugs near her yard and wanted him chased away from the place.

"Spencer and his friends are also in the habit of defecating at the community borehole," Neruwana said.

"Every morning we see faeces at the borehole."

Zongoro refuted Neruwana's allegations, saying she was framing the charges against him because he was a Zanu-PF youth.

"She is an MDC councillor and is against me because I am a Zanu-PF youth," Zongoro said.

"She once told me that if MDC wins, she was going to get rid of me and always accuses me of defecating at the borehole.

"She operates a shebeen and lives with a man called Lemon who is a known drug dealer in Glen view. She is just jealous because I support Zanu-PF."

Magistrate Siwardi dismissed Neruwana's application for a peace order saying it lacks merit.

She said there was insufficient evidence that Zongoro was breaching Neruwana's peace.
