Zanu-PF kicks out Zvobgo

The Zanu-PF politburo last week resolved that Edison Zvobgo who was voted Masvingo provincial legal secretary in the party's internal elections held last year, must immediately step down from the post.

Zvobgo was seconded and later on voted into provincial executive without following proper procedures.

Three weeks ago, Zanu-PF national political commissar, Webster Shamu, reportedly chaired a stormy meeting in Masvingo where some party members insisted that Zvobgo was not qualified to hold the position as he was not part of a pool of candidates chosen to contest in the provincial election.

Zanu-PF made a determination before its internal election that all members who were elected into provincial basket participate in the provincial polls.
