Tsvangirai circus: Zanu-PF pleads innocence

Zanu-PF has dismissed claims by the Morgan Tsvangirai faction that the revolutionary party is responsible for internal infighting which has resulted in the on-going split circus.
The Zanu-PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Rugare Gumbo, said that the MDC-T's claims are unsubstantiated lies stemming from a party that lacks capacity to handle conflict within its rank and file.
Gumbo also shot at claims by the MDC-T that President Robert Mugabe's independence address seemed to indicate that Zanu-PF is part of the MDC-Ts internal problems.
He said the President's concern is that there should be peace, unity and tolerance even among opposition parties so all Zimbabweans can contribute to the development of the country.
The MDC-T circus began when a faction aligned to Tendai Biti suspended Morgan Tsvangirai and other top leaders in the party.
The Tsvangirai faction hit back saying the decision was a nullity.
Experts however say only a court of law can certify a matter of dispute by declaring whether any move is a nullity or not.
