President Robert Mugabe has again blast Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo accusing him of fostering for divisions in the ruling Zanu-PF.

Speaking at the funeral of the late National Hero Nathan Shamuyarira, Mugabe without mentioning names equated Professor Moyo to pests that are invading a good harvest of seed destroying the seed from inside and need to be dealt with quickly.

This comes barely 24 hours after President Mugabe directly mentioned Minister Moyo for trying to destroy Zanu-PF from within by employing journalists into the public media that previously spoke ill of Zanu-PF government.

"When you harvest a good seed you find pests invading the seed and killing the seed from inside. We have such pests also within ZANU PF who want to destroy the party from inside," said Mugabe amongst cheers from the crowd at the Heroes Acre.

The previous evening addressing thousands of people at Shamuyarira residence, President Mugabe had said that the late Nathan Shamuyarira who once served as information Minister was a straight forward man who did not work against the policies of the party. Mugabe said this comparing the late Shamuyarira to the current information Minister, Professor Moyo, who he accused of allowing the public media to publish divisive news about government and the ruling party.

Speaking at the Shamuyarira residence, Mugabe warned Professor Moyo that ZANU PF was a party of simple people who will not be confused by intellectuals. Mugabe reiterated this at the Heroes Acre saying that some people within ZANU PF think they are so educated as to try and divide the party by causing confusion in the party by their education describing them as egoists.

"Education did not make Nathan an egoist, an egoist is one who thinks that what he thinks is right nothing else. If you are educated that way I say damn you" said Mugabe warning that his party does not want people of such a character.

Professor Moyo who attended the burial was visibly moved by the President's continuous bombardment of him. Some senior members of the party who sat on the podium with Minister Moyo surprisingly laughed and cheered every time the President attacked the Information Ministry.

Information from the ruling ZANU PF party is that issues against Professor Moyo were first raised at the party's politbro meeting held in Harare on Wednesday.

The party's supreme decision making body is said to have accused Minister Moyo for employing journalists who were previously against ZANU PF turning public media into a platform to criticises the ruling party and its members.
