Police are keen to interview a cabinet minister and a permanent secretary in connection with the CMED $3 million fuel scandal with Prosecutor-General Johannes Tomana asking the police to cast their investigations wide to get to the bottom of the scam.

Tomana recently sent a docket relating to the scandal back to the police with instructions to broaden their investigations, with impeccable sources claiming the prosecutor-general wanted the cabinet minister and permanent secretary interviewed and their statements recorded.

Yesterday, Tomana confirmed he had asked Police Commissioner-General Augustine Chihuri to interview other people not initially mentioned or linked to the case.
