Zanu-PF's Mashonaland West provincial co-ordinating committee has resolved to report some of its party officials to police after they allegedly failed to account for the 43 000 membership cards they were supposed to sell on behalf of the party since last year.

Provincial administration secretary Kindness Paradza said the decision to hand over the suspects to police was reached during a PCC meeting held in Chinhoyi on Sunday.

The party membership cards given to siting and aspiring parliamentarians and district chairpersons for sale to party members at $1 each in the run up to the party's primary elections last year.

It emerged during the meeting that some of the missing cards were allocated to Makonde losing candidate Risipi Kapesa, Hurungwe MP Godfrey Beremauro, provincial chairperson and Hurungwe West Temba Mliswa and several district chairpersons.
