Zanu-PF's Politburo will today discuss the spy-gate sage involving outspoken Mashonaland West provincial chairman Temba Mliswa and the fate of former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor Dr Gideon Gono whose bid to become a Senator for Manicaland was scuppered recently after it emerged that he was not a registered voter in the province as required by the law.

Zanu-PF national spokesperson Rugare Gumbo yesterday told the Herald that though he was not privy to the agenda drafted by secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa, Mliswa and Gono's issues were likely to be discussed as they were in the public domain.

"Yes, we are going to have a Politburo meeting today said Gumbo. "I have not seen the agenda of the meeting, but it is possible that those issues (Gono and Mliswa) will come out because they are in the public domain," Gumbo was quoted by the Herald today.

He said they were reading about Mliswa's altercation with Zhuwawo in the media and there was no formal communication that was made to the party.

ZEC chairperson Rita Makarau wrote to Zanu PF advising the party about Gono's failed senatorial bid.
