The First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe has taken a swipe at those who are involved in factional fights, saying divisions were not good for the Zanu-PF party and the country.
Addressing thousands of Zanu-PF supporters at the Zanu-PF Convention Centre in Gweru, Dr Mugabe said instead of focusing on factional fights, people should come together and find ways that can address some of the challenges facing the country.
She said factionalism and disunity are ingredients for disturbances in a country.
"To all those engaging in factionalism, don't you learn? You must learn from the MDC. Money is nothing, if it worked for one's benefit, we could today be talking of a post Mugabe era, because the West tried to use money to remove Zanu-PF by creating opposition parties but it failed. This is because God's plans can never be influenced by people or money," said Dr Mugabe.
She urged Zimbabweans to cherish the peace and tranquillity currently prevailing in the country.
Dr Mugabe said Zimbabweans must remain resolute as the country's leader find ways to address some of the challenges facing the country.
On her political career, the First Lady slammed journalists burnt on tarnishing her image through writing falsehoods.
"There are many stories written about me, don't think being quiet means I don't see them. There is nothing wrong about writing bad things about politicians but it is not good to always write falsehoods. Do you know that we can pray for those newspapers and no one will buy them? Yes we can do that. In the party, there some individuals who take stories to the press and they forget that we have supported them before. We must support each other as always," she said.
Dr Mugabe who donated 30 tonnes of seed maize, warned politicians against abusing the Presidential Input Support Scheme, which was introduced to support small holder and communal farmers.
Her remarks came in the wake of reports that some politicians in Mashonaland Central Province are diverting the seed for their personal gain.
