Zanu-PF factional fights in Harare have escalated to the party's lower structures where some officials aligned to provincial chair Amos Midzi are allegedly terrorising those they deem to be loyal to youth chairman Godwin Gomwe.

Last week a Zanu-PF official in Epworth's Zvido Zvevanhu district Kudakwashe Damson, had his house destroyed by some party officials who accused him of supporting Gomwe.

Damson reported the matter at Epworth Police Station and a docket was opened under case number RRB2212943.

Damson said he was under intense pressure from some party officials who were demanding that he pledge allegiance to Midzi.

He said is being persecuted in the district and recently our chairman Tichaona Muroyiwa sold my stand to a guy called Makore from Kadoma simply because I support Gomwe.

On Friday Makore and our vice chairperson Shepherd Dzingirai broke into my house saying that I was no longer the owner of that stand.
