Dr Mujuru calls for unity

The Vice President, Dr Joice Mujuru says the essence of the liberation struggle was to bring peace by ending colonial injustices hence the need for Zimbabweans to unite.
Dr Mujuru said this in a speech read on her behalf during a graduation party held in Rushinga for the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Dr Lazarus Dokora, who attained a Doctorate in Philosophy Degree (PhD).
Dr Mujuru described Dr Dokora as a role model both in education and political spheres.
She urged Zimbabweans to cherish the peace and harmony currently prevailing in the country.
In his remarks, Dr Dokora thanked the people who graced the event and urged students to aim high in their academic studies.
The graduation party, which was attended by several legislators, senior government and Zanu-PF officials, witnessed 140 students drawn from all the 70 schools in Rushinga district receiving various textbooks for their outstanding academic achievements.
