Bribery scam rocks Zanu-PF
23 Oct 2014 at 08:41hrs | Views
In a dramatic twist to the worsening Zanu-PF succession war, some officials in Mashonaland West are being offered cash to precipitate the fall of outspoken provincial chairman Temba Mliswa.
This comes as the infighting in the troubled party reaches fever pitch ahead of the ruling party's elective congress scheduled for early December and with President Robert Mugabe expected to preside over a stormy politburo meeting tomorrow.
The meeting, which was initially re-scheduled for today was postponed again as Mugabe is officiating at the Harare Institute of Technology graduation ceremony today.
The cash for support scandal in Mashonaland and his wife Grace have also publicly alluded to the fact that dirty money is exchanging hands in the escalating Zanu-PF succession war.
