Outspoken Zanu-PF Mashonaland West provincial chairperson, Themba Mliswa remains literally in no-man's land amid indications the ruling party is yet to make a determination on his status.

Despite the former Warriors fitness trainer claiming that the vote of no confidence passed on him two weeks ago was a nullity, party information Rugare Gumbo would not authoritatively state the party's position on the matter.

Gumbo said they were waiting for a full report from both sides and will take it from there and this has to be done before politburo on Friday.

Gumbo's latest statement is a major climb-down from his insistence that no one would be suspended ahead of congress set for December as enunciated by the politburo.

Zanu-PF deputy chair for Mashonaland West Ziyambi Ziyambi has said the vote of no confidence passed on provincial chair Temba Mliswa still stands and that there is no room for him to appeal.

Ziyambi said a vote of no confidence was different from a suspension and that the people's decision was final.

The provincial executive last week passed a vote of no confidence on Mliswa but at the weekend, provincial secretary for administration Kindness Paradza said members of the inter district met in Chinhoyi and overturned the vote of no confidence.

Clarifying the party position Ziyambi said Mliswa was already out and that he had no other way back to the position.

He said the inter district conference which claimed to have retained Mliswa had no powers to do so in terms of party's constitution.
