Masvingo Zanu-PF provincial members have unanimously passed a vote of no confidence on the party's Provincial Chairman, Callisto Gwanetsa amid allegations of corruption, abuse of power, factionalism and unconstitutionally campaigning for the presidium and central committee members.

Addressing Zanu-PF provincial members and the media at Chiefs Hall in Masvingo, the party's Vice Chairman Paradzai Chakona said bona fide party supporters were fed up with Ganetsa's unilateral practices that have led to the formation of parallel structures, under-development within the party and factionalism, among a host other divisive practices.

Speaking soon after emerging from the meeting, some Zanu-PF supporters accused the Provincial Women's League Chairperson, Shylet Uyoyo and youth leader, Oliver Huruva of working in cahoots with Gwanetsa to destroy the party from within.

They further accused Uyoyo of de-campaigning the First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe.

Chakona said the provincial members have since taken up the matter to the Politburo and are ready to set up a legitimate and people-oriented provincial leadership.
