Zanu-PF chairlady booted out

Zanu-PF Women's League in Masvingo yesterday passed a vote of no confidence against provincial chairlady Shylet Uyoyo after accusing her of promoting factionalism, incompetence and dictatorial tendencies in the running of the organ's affairs.

A provincial executive meeting of the Women's League held at the Chiefs' Hall installed Veronica Makonese as acting chairlady in the province until fresh elections are held.  Makonese was Secretary for Business Liaison Development in the league's provincial structure.

The no confidence vote against Uyoyo comes after a similar feat against Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chairman Retired Brigadier General Callisto Gwanetsa who was shown the exit door for promoting factionalism, abuse of office and incompetence by the provincial executive council recently.
