Demo against ministers Shamu, Nguni

Hundreds of Zanu-PF supporters in Chinhoyi yesterday demonstrated against the election into the central committee of party's national commissar Webster Shamu and minister of State Sylvester Nguni, accusing them of having been part to nan alleged plot to oust President Robert Mugabe.

The placard-carrying supporters petitioned the Mashonaland West provincial executive led by acting chairperson Ziyambi-Ziyambi to throw out Shamu and Nguni a minister in embattled VP Joice Mujuru's office.

In turn, Ziyambi forwarded the petition to the Chinese-styled politburo, which met in the capital yesterday and implored it to block Shamu and Nguni who were elected to represent Chegutu District in the central committee, the party highest decision-making organ outside congress.
