Zanu PF has hinted that it will forgive Vice President Joice Mujuru for her plot to unseat President Robert Mugabe if she repents.
Party politburo member Jacob Mudenda reading a report on the state of the party today said those who repent will not be persecuted.
"Factionalism, starting from this congress, should never again faind its way into the vocabulary and practices of this revolutionary party," said Mudenda in a report traditionally read by the party commissar Webster Shamu.
"What has been done is done. The next few day, months even must be a time to heal and reconcile.
"Those who repent and are remorseful must not be persecuted, but we must embrace and gently mentor them back into rectitude."
Shamu, one of Mujuru's allies was sidelined for his alleged involvement in a plot to unseat Mugabe.
