Sekeramayi blocked from entering Zanu-PF congress venue

Defence Minister Sydney Sekeramayi was today barred from entering the venue of the  Zanu PF congress.

According to witnesses, Sekeramayi was blocked from entering the venue by party youths who accused him of being aligned to Vice President Joice Mujuru.

Mujuru who boycotted Tuesday's politburo meeting and the central committee the following day has been accused with her allies of plotting to depose President Robert Mugabe.

Mujuru was also absent at the official opening of congress yesterday as well as today's closed door session.

Mugabe is tomorrow Expected to announce the new Zanu PF presidium at the closing ceremony of the congress
