Bootlicking of the First Family continues to hog the limelight at the Zanu-PF Congress with delegates taking their turns to heap praises on Mugabe and his wife.
Agriculture Minister, Joseph Made today joined the bandwagon of bootlickers when he hailed Grace for attaining a Doctorate at the University of Zimbabwe saying she was a hardworking woman who deserved to be rewarded.
Grace's PHD has been at the centre of a storm and at one time the Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) launched a court application seeking a review of the manner in which Grace attained her doctorate.
"Pamberi naPresident Mugabe. Pamberi naDr. Amai Grace Mugabe. Pasi nevanoda kuvapandukira. (Forward with the President and the First Lady and down with those who want to revolt against them). Allow me to congratulate her (Grace) on her attainment of her PHD at the University of Zimbabwe.
"In her own right as an industrialist, she rightly deserves it," said Made. Similar sentiments were made yesterday by representatives of provinces in their solidarity speeches.
There were a number of songs that were being sung yesterday as well as today in praise of Mugabe and his wife.
Some of the songs pointed out that Mugabe was God sent and should rule the country until he dies At one time, outgoing Zanu-PF Women's League boss, Oppah Muchinguri defended Grace's PHD saying that she had worked very hard to attain it.
Muchinguri said people who were raising questions over Grace's PHD were bent on tarnishing her image. She said that President Robert Mugabe assisted Grace in her studying.
