'It's not over,' says Mutasa

Former Zanu-PF secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa says he and others who were recently ousted from the party for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Robert Mugabe from power and assassinate the nonagenarian will not be forced out of the party.
At the same time, Zimbabwe could soon find itself back on Sadc's political agenda after Mutasa wrote hard-hitting letter to regional leaders on Tuesday, imploring them to intervene in the country's deepening political crisis spawned by the ruling party's brutal and sometimes violent infighting.
Mutasa rubbished State media reports that he and the other former party bigwigs perceived to be close to dismissed former VP Joice Mujuru.
Meanwhile, Zanu-PF has warned Mutasa against the path he has chosen to court foreigners in his bid to discredit the party's 6th National People's Congress held early this month and have its resolutions reversed.
He is said to have been lobbying former liberation movements in Southern Africa not to recognise congress resolutions on the basis that former Vice President Joice Mujuru, several other ministers and himself were unjustly ejected from the Politburo and Government.
Newly-appointed Zanu-PF secretary for administration Ignatius Chombo yesterday warned Mutasa against his "wishful thinking" and lobbying for the reversal of the congress resolutions and the new status quo.
Chombo said the congress resolutions were binding and irreversible.
