China pledges to continue ensuring development assistance to Zim

China says the Asian nation will continue ensuring development assistance to Zimbabwe in two priority areas of agriculture and education.
With Beijing's engagement with Harare continuously going on an upward trend, the Asian economic giant says it is looking at increasing its role in local agriculture and education.
Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Lin Lin says his country wants to see the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation (ZIM ASSET) succeed as the two nations are important development partners.
Bilateral trade between Zimbabwe and China has grown tremendously.
Statistics point to an 8,5 percent increase between 2012 and 2013, reaching US$1,1 billion of which Zimbabwe exports stand at US$688 million and imports at US$414 million.
