Scammed farmers storm Zanu-PF HQ
31 Dec 2014 at 17:13hrs | Views
Hundreds of farmers duped of millions of dollars in a dubious inputs scheme programme launched by the Zanu PF National Youth League and LASCH Enterprises Private Limited are vowing to stay put at the party headquarters in Harare until they receive their inputs.
Farmers from all over the country have been stranded in the capital for four days now and they say they have had enough.
Even though one of their selected representatives, who has been in liaison with party officials, could not cool the flared tempers of the farmers who are calling for the heads of people behind the Zanu PF Youth League and LASCH joint venture input scheme which saw them prejudiced of millions.
While the festive mood and spirit is unabated for many who expect the prospects of the coming year to be brighter, it is not so for the stranded farmers who watch helplessly as the rains go to waste while they have planted nothing.
Nine people have been charged and appeared before the courts in connection with the scam
