Obert Mpofu whips civil servants into line

Zanu-PF politburo member and Transport minister, Obert Mpofu has said civil servants are an indispensable and vital component to the ruling party Zanu-PF, without which the party would not be in power.

He said civil servants, are by design, political inclined to Zanu-PF as they report to ministers appointed by party to fulfill party mandate.

Mpofu said civil servants were indispensable from politics and the congress made a lot of resolutions and those resolutions bind civil servants and if there is anyone who does not believe this then that person is in the wrong place.

Binga has been lagging behind in development, a factor Mpofu attributed to some civil servants who are not implementing party objectives thinking they are off the radar.
