Zanu-PF Harare province says the party is pre-occupied with defending its constituencies that it won in 2013 while moving on to implement strategies of winning the ones in the hands of the opposition.
Provincial commissar Shadreck Mashayamombe says the current restructuring exercise in the party is meant to create a strong party that can contest successfully for the constituencies still held by the opposition.
"We are restructuring with intention to ensure we take back those seats," said Mashayamombe.
Mashayamombe also warned the Morgan Tsvangirai led MDC-T not to hoodwink people by promising to resolve the issue of illegal structures saying all problems which residents have to deal with were created by corrupt and inefficient MDC-T led councils.
An inter-district meeting held this weekend in the province is part of the national programme which Zanu PF has embarked upon following the 2014 National People's Congress.
