Zanu-PF begins restructuring

Zanu-PF provincial executives have started restructuring lower tiers of the revolutionary party in line with a directive issued by the party national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere early this month.
Kasukuwere directed all provinces to hold elections for all lower tiers such as cells, branches and districts as the party embarked on a restructuring exercising aimed at strengthening it.
In an interview yesterday, Zanu-PF provincial executive members said elections for new executives at cells had started while others indicating that they held inter-district meetings directing them to start the process.
They all expressed optimism that they would meet the February deadline set by the party's national political commissar.
Zanu-PF Mashonaland Central provincial chairperson Dickson Mafios said they held meetings with all district executive members about the modalities to be followed for the exercise.
