Former Zanu-PF secretary for Administration, Didymus Mutasa has survived expulsion from Zanu-PF, as of now, and a committee has been set up to look into his issue.

The committee is chaired by Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko, and also comprises Saviour Kasukuwere (Secretary for the Commissariat), Patrick Chinamasa (Secretary for Legal Affairs), Dr Grace Mugabe (Secretary for Women Affairs), Pupurai Togarepi (Secretary for Youth) and Cde Kembo Mohadi.

The Zanu-PF Politburo met today, and Cde Mutasa's issue was on the agenda after Manicaland Province had recommended the ex-minister's expulsion from the party.

Mutasa, who was reduced to an ordinary card-carrying member in last December's Zanu-PF congress, stands accused of attempting to involve SADC and the African Union in Zanu-PF's internal affairs, granting interviews to hostile private media, denigrating the party and the outcome of the 6th Zanu PF congress held in December.
