'Lets confront Zanu-PF dictatorship'

MDC Renewal Team secretary-general Tendai Biti yesterday urged Zimbabweans to embark on mass protests to dislodge what he termed the "predatory" Zanu-PF government for failing to address a myriad of problems affecting the country.
Biti said that Zanu-PF was "heartless" and "clueless" in addressing Zimbabwe's challenges as the party was embroiled in bitter succession fights and "internal cannibalism" at the expense of the ordinary people.
Therefore, the onus is thus on the people of Zimbabwe to free themselves by confronting the Zanu-PF dictatorship. Zanu-PF is not interested in dialogue and in respecting the citizen.
Therefore, it is up to the people to use their constitutional rights and confront Zanu-PF," Biti said.
"After all, section 67 of the national Constitution bestows full political rights to every citizen to demonstrate and petition peacefully. It's time for Zimbabwe to stand up! They will see the last supper actions. They are going to steal as if they are on drugs in 2015. There will be a lot of sideshows to entertain and divert attention from real issues of the day, the Gamatox and other sideshows."
He said his party was calling for the immediate resignation of the Zanu-PF government and allow for the coming-in of a team of technocrats with a view to rebuilding the country.
