Zanu-PF politburo member Sydney Sekeramayi has rallied party members in Mashonaland East to shun factionalism and join forces in rebuilding formidable structures following fierce fights that characterised the run-up to the party's December congress.
Addressing scores of party members at Mbuya Nehanda Hall in Marondera on Sunday, Sekeramayi said the province should work harder to rid itself of the bane of factionalism. He said people should not take their personal issues into party business.
At some point someone will say someone has done this and so he is a Gamatox there was no need instead there was need for people to unite and build the province for the better.
Sekeramayi and David Parirenyatwa were some of the few top Zanu-PF officials who survived the internal purge that targeted party members aligned to former VP Joice Mujuru.
