The First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe made her maiden appearance in the Politburo today following her elevation to lead the Women's League during the 6th national people's congress held in December 2014.
The Zanu-PF Politburo is holding its 285th ordinary session at the party's headquarters in Harare.
The First Lady did not have the opportunity to attend two Politburo meetings that were held since the December Congress because she was recovering from a minor operation in the Far East.
She returned home on Sunday and declared to thousands of Zanu-PF supporters who welcomed her at Harare International Airport that she was now fit.
Top of the agenda of the session of the Politburo meeting is the report by National Disciplinary Committee.
The committee was tasked during the first meeting of the Politburo 2015 to deal with the issue of Didymus Mutasa, who wrote to SADC and the African Union (AU) calling on them to intervene in the matter in which he was ousted from party position of Secretary for Administration.
Other items on the agenda of the Politburo meeting are reports on ZIMASSET by Patrick Chinamasa and the state of party's finances from Obert Mpofu.
Saviour Kasukuwere is also expected to present a report on the state of restructuring of the party and the mobilisation exercise.
