The Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial leadership says it has completed phase 1 of its restructuring exercise.
Zanu-PF Masvingo Provincial Chairman, Paradzai Chakona told reporters that the restructuring exercise of cells and branches which began during the first week of this month went on smoothly.
He said the party is now bracing for the second phase of restructuring, which will focus on districts.
Masvingo Provincial Commissar, Jeppy Jaboon confirmed that some fictitious structures created to destabilise the party's annual people's conference had been nullified.
Meanwhile, the Zanu-PF Masvingo leadership has commended the party's First Secretary and President, Robert Mugabe for putting the interest of the party first by relieving the former Minister of State for the province, Kudakwashe Bhasikiti of his duties.
Bhasikiti was fired on Thursday last week over what was described as conduct inconsistent with his prescribed duties.
