Wayward Zanu-PF supporters warned

DEPUTY Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa has warned Zanu-PF supporters against following individuals who have hidden agendas of destroying the party.
Addressing party supporters at a feedback meeting held for members in the Zimunya-Marange district on Tuesday, Sen Mutsvangwa said the province should be wary of people like disgraced former Zanu-PF secretary for administration Mr Didymus Mutasa and Mr Temba Mliswa who used their positions to corrupt the masses.
"I urge you to be wary of greedy people like Didymus Mutasa and his allies who were paid by the British to effect regime change in Zanu-PF and Government.
"The British realised that Tsvangirai had failed them and decided to target some of our own to use in their quest to topple the country's leadership. This was done after the realisation that Zimbabweans will never vote for anyone who does not have liberation war credentials.
"They saw that Mutasa was less principled and was very close to the President and they thought that Joice Mujuru was the next best person who could succeed President Mugabe after they help in assassinating him (President Mugabe). Beware of people who are paid to do other people's dirty jobs and betray their leaders and party. Zanu-PF expels such people with no regrets and you should be prepared for the consequences before you even think of betraying this revolutionary party," she warned.
Sen Mutsvangwa said there was no room for Mr Mutasa's sympathisers in the party.
"Every member should understand what the party has gone through and as we restructure, we should take note that we need the party to be stronger all the way from the grassroots to the national leadership. Structures should be in place to guard against all evil manipulations.
"If you still wonder why Mutasa was expelled and cry day and night for his reinstatement, stay away from the restructuring exercise. Stay clear of the party because that is never going to happen. Mutasa is down and out. Zanu-PF has turned its back on him because he chose to ignore the party's principles first and plotted to assassinate our icon.
"It is time for you as a supporter to come to terms with the reality and serve the party and not individuals. The restructuring of the party serves to come up with credible leaders. Gone are the days of imposition of leaders like what used to happen during the Didymus Mutasa and John Mvundura era," she said.
Mutsvangwa said there was no room for forgiveness on all those who undermined the leadership of the First Lady, Dr Amai Grace Mugabe.
"You should not associate yourself with those badmouthing Dr Amai Mugabe. Amai knew the right time to tell the whole country the truth about former Vice-President Mujuru and her puppets' shenanigans. We should stand with her all the way through this because she is a revolutionary leader. Dr Amai Mugabe is someone we should always respect," she said.
On the issue of drought stalking Manicaland, Sen Mutsvangwa said Government was working flat out to ensure that no one dies of hunger.
"President Mugabe is on record saying no one will die of hunger and you know our President always keeps his promises.
"I have made a special request to Minister of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation, Dr Made, to avail grain to the affected communities and he is already working on the modalities," said Sen Mutsvangwa.
