Some old members of the MDC who were there at its formation are reportedly returning to the party to rejuvenate it ahead of the 2018 elections in effort to defeat Zanu PF in the polls.
This was revealed by the MDC-T senior member Job Sikhala through his social network posting.
"It is work in progress as we speak. All those who founded the MDC and those who quarreled against each other are now finding each other," he said. "A mass of our cadres are on their way back to one big MDC party and it will be encouraging that we will all be fighting from one corner. Those who still have their personality issues will be deserted in full. Watch the space."
Sikhala is one of the MDC members who left the part sometime and he formed his MDC 99. He returned to the party in 2013 and is mobilizing the reunification of the opposition MDC so that it goes back to its formidable status.
Isaac Mutasa said what Sikhala was saying was the proper way to go about it and the move by MDC-T that no electoral reforms no elections was the good one.
Jackson Muzivi said the move of old member going back to the MDC was a nice one.
"Nice one there is no need for coalition negotiations coz joining and leaving a party must always be an individual's right and choice not group imposed," he said.
Ishmael Mutanda said, "we need all opposition parties to unite."
