Analysts and observes have warned that the nation is on the brink of civil unrest as government officials fail to deal with an increase of street vendors in Harare.

They note that most vendors have spilled into the streets as a response to the ever increasing unemployment, a situation which could lead to street disorder.

Security sources claim secret cameras have been erected on the streets to monitor the activities of the burgeoning number of vendors.

Pedzisai Ruhanya, a political analyst says that Zanu-PF is paralysed with fear because if vendors continue with their activities in the CBD, it will create instability and civil disobedience.
