The Harare City Council has reportedly demanded the closure of the Econet Shop operating at Huruyadzo Shopping Centre so that the vendors should occupy the space where it has erected its booster.
This was reported by the Harare Residents Trust which said the Town Clerk and the council officials also addressed vendors at Huruyadzo Shopping centre who are selling their goods in front of the OK Shop.
"Vendors have been given an open space close to the hall at Huruyadzo Shopping centre," said the Trust.
"The Town Clerk has also ordered that the Econet Shop operating at Huruyadzo Shopping Centre should be removed and operate at the stand that they put their booster so that vendors can occupy the place."
War has erupted between the government and vendors following the directive given to them to vacate the streets by next week.
