Zanu PF youth member challenges members to pay ZESA bills

Zanu PF youth member Fidelis Fengu has challenged his party members to do the honourable thing by settling the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) bills and stop taking advantage of being in power to evade the bills.

"Empowerment comes with responsibility," he said. "When we took control of the economy it came with responsibility. Zanu PF officials should be the first to pay ZESA bills, Zimbabwe National Wateer Authority (Zinwa) bills and even bank loans."

Fengu said leaders should be the torchbearers and ensure that citizens become responsible.

"Empowerment does not mean lets kill the goose and the eggs. Empowerment, entitlement demands responsibility," said Fengu.

"So far so good I think we are largely irresponsible citizens who got the wrong end of the empowerment stick."
