A political analyst Pedzisayi Ruhanya has said the package of the former Vice President Joice Mujuru must not be looked at in general but on political manifest grounds.

President Robert Mugabe last week gazetted the packages or pay outs for the Presidents and Vice presidents who have served government for not less than one  5 year term of government which made Mujuru to be entitled to the pay out and benefits as indicated in the media reports.

"Make no mistake, the awarding of former Vice President Joyce Mjuru's package by President Mugabe is beyond the realm of legality," Ruhanya said.

"It is more of a political decision meant to pacify her. When has President Mugabe become the leading disciple of the rule of law? This is about politics than an other explanation. In this case, the law has been used to buttress a political decision by a neopatrimonial regime! Using a legal positivist analytic lens could be inadequate!"
