The Zanu-PF Matabeleland South Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) has agreed to re-do its audit and verification exercise to address irregularities that could misrepresent the true situation on the ground.
The party's ongoing restructuring exercise is meant to ascertain the party membership.
The PCC met on Saturday to deliberate on the preliminary report of the party's audit and verification exercise that began in January.
Responding to the findings of the seven teams that were dispatched for the exercise, Politburo member, Kembo Mohadi said the party cannot afford to distort the real situation on the ground.
The Politburo-led teams will now concentrate on one district at a time to ensure efficiency, said team leader, Professor Jonathan Moyo.
Prior to the verification exercise, Matabeleland South reported that the province has 3087 cells but 2156 six cells were verified during the just-ended exercise.
The re-structuring exercise is expected to be complete before the end of September after which a provincial executive will be elected ahead of the Zanu-PF national congress in December.
