'We will deliver jobs,' says Zanu-PF

President Robert Mugabe's ruling Zanu-PF party insists it will deliver on its 2,2 million jobs promise despite signs of economic and social implosion seemingly everywhere in Zimbabwe.
Party spokesperson and Economic Development and Investment Promotions minister Simon Khaya-Moyo told NewsDay yesterday that Zanu-PF will turn the millions of informal jobs into formal ones.
In the run-up to the July 2013 harmonized polls won by Mugabe, Zanu-PF promised to create 2,2 million jobs under its election manifesto turned economic blue-print, ZimAsset.
The Zanu-PF spin-doctor's comments come in the wake of massive job cuts in both the private and public sectors in the aftermath of the July 17th Supreme Court judgment.
