Zanu-PF dishes out 5 000 stands to supporters

Zanu-PF has doled out 5 000 residential stands to its supporters in Marondera to prop up its Marondera Central parliamentary candidate Lawrence Katsiru's profile ahead of the September 16 by-election.

Addressing party supporters at Rudhaka Stadium at the launch of Katsiru's campaign on Tuesday, Zanu-PF national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere said government had identified 300 hectares outside Marondera town where servicing of the land would begin next week.

He said the stands would be sold at $500 each with prospective home owners expected to pay $11 registration fees to Marondera Town Council.
