Zanu PF Harare East MP Terence Mukupe has expressed deep concerns and sympathy for the children who were abandoned by their parents in his constituency in which one of them is "fighting for her life in hospital."

"My heart is heavy. This 15 year old girl is fighting for her life in hospital. The parents abondoned her and her 3 siblings (youngest 8 years) cause they had decided to separate," he said.

"She was forced to look after her siblings. She found herself becoming a victim of all kinds of physical, emotional and sexual abuse by men."

He said her plight was brought to his attention by Zimwana Worldwide 3 weeks ago.

"We managed to send her siblings back to school," he said.

"Because of all the physical abuse she had suffered and hunger which had become the order of the day, it triggered a severe diabetic condition in her.

"I am saying all this to highlight that we as parents we should never abandon our children just because we have fallen out of love."

Mukupe said its demonic for men to sleep and abuse a vulnerable young 15 year old girl.

"For now we are working on completing the construction of their house and reintegrating her entire family into school after 3 years of living a life of abuse and hunger. All praises be to God," he said.
