'Mugabe came from the bush to destroy the enjoyment we had'

A social commentator Obert Mundevere Ncube has posted on Facebook that before President Robert Mugabe took over as the leader of Zimbabwe things were running smooth but 35 years after he took over from Rhodesian leader Ian Smith all has been turned into history now.

"We used to get free and new books at school both types even pens, pencils and erasures, milk was delivered and left at our door steps. Sundays we used to queue for a Sunday Mail newspaper, busses were never late for school and even those to the industrial areas were punctual," he said.

Ncube said Mbare was a terminus for buses across Zimbabwe, Gokwe Nembudzaya. Murehwa. Masvingo. Bulawayo and all parts of the country.

"Roads were first class. Trains were available for those who wanted, it wasn't an option," he said.

"Hospitals were for unwell friends and colleagues, not death traps. Farming was good and silos were full always. That is when I remember cotton in Gokwe and the surrounding areas, Sanyati. Copper Queen. Zhombe etc etc etc etc. Now, tell you what: Mugabe came from the bushes and this is what he did to us."

Ncube posted pictures of vendors all over as what has been created by Mugabe's misrule.
